Conservation Now is dedicated to the conservation of our vanishing Rainforests, the millions of plant and animal species that inhabit them, and the benefits of these ecosystems on the Earth as a whole.

We're bearing witness to the greatest mass extinction since the time of the dinosaurs - we're losing almost 9,000 species and 52,000,000 acres every year, and we're talking about a ecosystem that exists on less than 2% of the world's surface. The natural rate of extinction is estimated to be between one and two species per year, but the present rate is 10,000 times that - about one species per hour. You'll receive occasional updates (and we do mean occasional!) on our progress in stemming the destruction of these ecological treasures, as well as general information on global conservation efforts end events.
